Smooth Hound Innovations Limited is a privately owned small business founded in 2013 by Chris Fryer in Cambridge, UK. Our aim is to design and build the very best performing musical electronic equipment whilst delivering outstanding value for money.
Before starting Smooth Hound, Chris studied engineering at Cambridge University before enjoying eleven years with the renowned technology company Cambridge Consultants Limited. In 2001 he founded Pelikon Limited, a printed flexible display company with novel technology and a manufacturing plant in Wales where they produced some millions of displays for TV remote controls. Pelikon was acquired in 2008 by MFLEX Inc. leading to more technology development and applications in smart phones and laptops. Chris is a named inventor on some thirty patents worldwide covering technologies from domestic gas meters through kidney dialysis machines to many ways of optimising printed flexible displays.
